Overview of agrometeorological situation of April 12, 2022
After the past rains in Vitebsk, Mogilev, in some districts of Brest and in the north of the Grodno region, strong and excessive moisture of the topsoil remains, which allows only selective agricultural work. Areas with good moistening of the topsoil increase in the southwestern half of the country, here in most areas the soil is in a moderately moist state, farms actively carry out spring sowing.
Due to the predominance of cold weather, the vegetation of winter crops and perennial grasses is inactive. In the second decade of April, due to the lack of stable heat, difficult agrometeorological conditions will remain for the development of winter crops, the growth of perennial grasses, the germination of grain and the emergence of spring crops.
