Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (4 July 2019 -10 July 2019)

State institution «Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring» informs about the excess of quality standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from 4 to 11 July 2019.
In the air of Gomel, there was an increase of carbon monoxide at 05:20 in the area of Barykin street – maximum one-time concentration was 1,2 MPC on July, 5. The south wind of 2 m/s prevailed, air temperature was +9,6°С, relative humidity – 81%.
In the air of Rechitsa, concentration of particulate pollutants (non-determined in composition silt/aerosol) exceeded quality standard by 1,1 at 13:00 (during sampling) in the area of Molodezhnaya street on July, 8. The west wind of 4 m/s prevailed at 13:00, air temperature was +18,8°С, relative humidity – 50%.
Increased level of air contamination with formaldehyde still remains in certain cities of Belarus.
In the air of Grodno, maximum concentration of formaldehyde was 1,3 MPC (July, 8) in the area of Industrialnaya street, in the area of Leninskiy Komsomol street – 1,2 MPC (July, 8), in the area of Gorodnichanskaya street – 1,1 MPC (July, 5).
In the air of Mogilev, maximum concentration of formaldehyde was 1,7 MPC (July, 8) in the area of Cheluskintsev street.
In the air of Brest, maximum concentration of formaldehyde was 1,9 MPC (July, 4) in the area of 17th September street. There was a single case of exceedance of quality standards by 1,1 (July, 4) in the area of Yanka Kupala street.
In the air of Pinsk, there was a single exceedance of quality standards with formaldehyde by 1,2 (July, 8).
