Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (29 November - 5 December 2018)

 The state institution «Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring» informs about the excess of quality standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from 29 November to 5 December 2018.

In the air of Gomel (Barykin street) there was an increase of air pollution level on nitrogen oxides from 18:00 to 00:00 on November, 29: maximum concentrations was about 1,1-1,3 MPC. The wind of various directions, windless conditions, air temperature ranged from -7,4°С to -12,9°С, relative humidity – from 76% to 91%.

In the air of Zhlobin (Prigorodnaya street) there was an exceedance of quality standards on PP-2,5 by 2,1 times on November, 30. The south-east wind of 1-3 m\s, air temperature ranged from -13,5°С to -5,6°С, relative humidity – from 54% to 90%. Average daily concentration of PP-2,5 was 1,6 MPC on December, 2. The wind of various directions, windless conditions with the transit to the south wind of 2-3 m/s, air temperature ranged from -7,5°С to -4,8°С, relative humidity – from 77% to 93%. In the air there was an exceedance of quality standatrds on PP-2,5 by 1,9 times on December, 3. The south wind and the south-east wind of 2-4 m/s had prevailed, weft conditions, air temperature ranged from -6,5°С to -1,3°С, relative humidity – from 72% to 94%. Average daily concentrations of PP-2,5 was about 1,6 MPC on December, 4. The south wind of 2-4 m/s had prevailed, weft conditions, drizzle, air temperature ranged from -1,4°С to +2,0°С, relative humidity – from 92% to 97%.

In the air of Brest (Pushkinskaya street), there was a short-term exceedance of quality standards on nitrogen dioxides by 1,4 times on November, 30. The south-east wind of 3 m/s had prevailed, air temperature was -5,0°С, relative humidity – 48%. Small exceedance of quality standards on PP-10 by 1,1 times was registered in the area of Severnaya street on December, 2. The soft wind of south directions, weft conditions, air temperature ranged from -9,3°С to +0,3°С, relative humidity – from 83% to 92%.

In the air of Minsk (Heroes of 120th Division street), average daily concentration of PP-2,5 was 1,4 MPC on December, 2. The soft south-east wind had prevailed, weft conditions, snow, air temperature ranged from -8,3°С to -4,3°С, relative humidity – from 83% to 98%.

In the air of Gomel (Karbyshev street), average daily concentration of  PP-10 was 1,1 MPC on December, 3. There was a small exceedance (by 1,05 times) of quality standards on PP-10 in the area of Barykin street. The south-east wind of 1-4 m/s, air temperature ranged from -10,3°С to -1,8°С, relative humidity – from 73% to 90%.
