Overview of hydrological situation of April 30, 2020
Decrease of water levels with daily intensity of 1-9 cm is observed on most rivers as at April 30. Insignificant increase (1-3 cm) is observed on the Dnieper near Zhlobin, on the Pripyat near Pinsk, some of their tributaries, separate tributaries of the Zapadnaya Dvina, of the Neman and of the Zapadny Bug., , Daily intensity of water levels’ rising is 20-36 cm as a result of economic activity on the Neman near Grodno and on the Mukhavets near Brest.
Water levels are below the limit marking shipping on the Neman near Grodno, on the Dnieper near Mogilev and Zhlobin, on the Berezina near Bobruisk, on the Sozh near Krichev, Slavgorod and Gomel.
Water temperatures increased and ranges from 7,2°С to 14°С.
Decrease of water levels will continue till the end of this week on most rivers. Water level will decrease below the limit marking shipping on the Dnieper near Loev and it will get closer to dangerous low mark near Rechitsa.
Water content of rivers in the country in April was much lower than usual for this time of year.
Minimum water levels on rivers this month turned out to be close to minimum multi-year values for April. Water levels dropped below minimum multi-year values for April on most rivers of Neman, Zapadny Bug, Dnieper, Berezina, Sozh and Pripyat basins.
