Overview of hydrological situation of March 18, 2019

 
Within the previous period (March, 16-17) the Usvyacha (affluent of the Zapadnaya Dvina) near Novoselki village broke up from ice. Reservoir Soligorskoye completely freed from ice features.
At the present time, freeze-up remain on the Zapadnaya Dvina near Surazh. Freeze-up is observed as well on the reservoirs: Vileyskoye, Chigirinskoye, Zaslavskoye, on the lakes Drivyaty, Naroch and Lukomskoye. However, there are big areas with open water surface, ice has heterogeneous structure and is melting on site.
Increase of water levels with the intensity 1-8 cm per day prevails on the rivers of Belarus.
Water is on the flood land on the Neman near Belitsa village, the Viliya near Steshitsy village, on the Sozh near Slavgorod, the Svisloch (affluent of the Berezina) near Terebuty village, on the Bychok near Ozerany village, the Styr near Lopatino village and on the Sluch near Lenin village and on the Ptich near 1st Slobodka village as well as on the Narev (affluent of the Zapadnyi Bug) near Nemerzha village. Flooding depth of flood zone is not very deep (up to 19 cm).
In the coming days there will not be any significant changes in level regime of the rivers, ice cover melting will continue.
