Review of the agrometeorological situation of November 5, 2019
Under the influence of warm weather during the last days, vegetation of winter crops continues. Tillering on winter cereal crops is observed in most of observed fields, seedlings and third leaf are observed on late sowings. In the coming days, winter crops will get additional development, mainly in the southern part of Belarus.
Content of productive moisture in ploughed horizon under winter cereal crops is sufficient in most of Belarus, Because of precipitations deficit, content of productive moisture has decreased up to moderate values in many areas of the southern part of the country with predominance of light soils. Past rains should increase content of soil moisture.
In the coming days, warm weather will allow to finish harvest work of late agricultural crops and continue underwinter soil treatment.
