Review of the agrometeorological situation of March 3, 2020
Snow cover in the fields is absent; the soil is mostly thawed according to the latest observational data. 10 cm layer of soil dried out to a moderately moist state on the greater part of Gomel, in many areas of Brest, in certain areas of elevated sections of the Minsk region on March 3 on the morning. It has become possible to carry out soil cultivation and fertilizer application in the dry areas. Expected unstable weather will restrain soil drying and warming in the near future.
More active vegetation of winter crops will be observed in the first decade of March, especially in the southern and southeastern regions of the republic.
